Anaerobic Exercise

How To Get Your Body Bikini-Ready

When doing an anaerobic exercise, your body must rely on energy-creating repetitions of an exercise that doesn’t need extreme quantities of oxygen.  Some great examples of anaerobic exercise are lifting weights, jumping (jumping jacks count), and/or sprinting.

One of the most important parts about getting your body bikini-ready is ensuring that you’re not only losing weight but also putting on a bit of toned muscle. For both girls and guys, having low body fat is good, but it’s not quite a summer body until you have a bit of muscle.

Training with weights is one of the best ways to build up a bit of muscle for that toned look. There are a ton of different workouts you can do with just a small set of dumbbells alone. You should be able to work out just about every part of your body with limited resources, so there aren’t many excuses for not being able to get a full workout in. With dumbbells, you can easily work out your whole upper body, core, and lower body.

Aerobic Exercise

The scientific definition of aerobic is “with oxygen” (anaerobic means without oxygen).

Aerobic exercise tones muscles and burns fat. Aerobic exercise gives you a stronger heart, which reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease. It makes your legs and calves more toned, which makes that size 6 polka-dot bikini you’ve been trying to squeeze into obtainable. Examples of aerobic exercise are running, skiing, rowing, swimming, or even doing an exercise video.

Eat Well and Stay Hydrated

You’ve heard it many times before, but get your daily fill of water so that you stay hydrated as the summer temperature soars. Water intake flushes toxins from your system and keeps that ugly cottage cheese look called “cellulite” from creeping into your body.

Don’t forget the importance of a healthy diet to get your body bikini-ready. Your skin will reflect the foods you put into your body, so be especially careful during the summer months to get plenty of fruits and vegetables that are naturally in season – and good for you.

Silky Smooth Skin

To achieve glowing, silky smooth skin that you’ll be proud to flaunt, begin by exfoliating. Exfoliating removes dead skin cells that lay on the surface of your skin and leaves it soft and toned. To effectively exfoliate your skin, use a natural bristle brush or your favorite exfoliating cream.

Remove unwanted hair by using a razor, waxing or hair removal cream – and don’t forget to use a moisturizer afterward. And, keep your skin in top condition by using a sunscreen – and apply it often when you’re on the beach. You’ll also avoid wrinkles and skin cancer as you age.

10 Muscle Toning Mistakes Women Make
